Livestock farmers will be able to claim until September for the economic losses suffered by the Milk Cartel between 2000 and 2013, ESKARIAM reports
Our CEO David Fernández and COO Juan Álvarez confirmed it in the press conference organised by AGROMURALLA, in Lugo, and in the meeting held in Santa Comba, La Coruña, with livestock farmers in the area.
Equipo ESKARIAM
Following the rulings of the Audiencia Nacional confirming the Milk Cartel, and the period during which it operated, thousands of farmers affected by the anti-competitive practices of the cartelised dairy companies will be able, on a reasonably conservative interpretation of current legislation, to complain until 24 September.
We wanted to pay a personal visit to the livestock farmers who have placed their trust in us, Galicia being one of the regions most affected by the Milk Cartel.
The response of the livestock farmers to the decisions of the Audiencia Nacional (National Court) confirming the cartel has been very positive. For them, the motivation for this claim goes beyond the economic aspect, it is the confirmation by the Spanish justice system of an anti-competitive practice carried out by the cartelised companies which, at present, continue to deny what happened.
ESKARIAM, in the Galician media
In Galicia there are 52,000 livestock farmers who could have been affected by the Milk Cartel. ESKARIAM is visiting many Galician towns to inform farmers that it is possible to claim the corresponding compensation.
ESKARIAM’s presence in Galicia has been echoed by regional media such as La Opinión de A Coruña, El Progreso, Televisión de Galicia, Nos Diario, and economic media such as Forbes, Bolsamanía or Economía Digital, and also in the programme Mundo Agrario on COPE.
ESKARIAM is currently advising more than 7,000 farmers affected by the Milk Cartel, mostly located in Galicia, Castilla y León, Catalonia, Asturias and Cantabria.
If you are one of those affected, contact ESKARIAM and we will advise you, free of charge and without obligation, on the next legal steps to take. You can do so through our website, by calling 91 999 22 99 or by emailing us at carteldeleche@eskariam.com.
